what are the major thing we need to predict weather, as an amateur weather forecaster, and how can we predict weather in 7 days?

It all depends on the kind of weather you forecast. For example, the most important for an aviator is to know the visibility. A farmer may want to know the amount of precipitation and a fisherman, the height of the waves.
It is impossible to predict the weather for 7 days in advance. Even when professional weather forecast is given for the next 4 or 9 hours by the aviation or maritime met office, it often says, e.g.: probability for local thunderstorm is 30 percent. For an aviator that would be e.g. 0510 PROB30 TS.
If a long period of high pressure exists, one may say that, e.g. in the next three days, there won't be much change and the weather will be mostly dry and clear. But that doesn't exclude that, early morning, down in the valley, due to the inversion, katabatic wind and a nearby lake, there can be fog patches.
