Several stationary vertical lines on my LCD TV.?
I have several stationary, seemingly evenly-spaced vertical "lines" running up and down the full height of my Samsung LCD TV screen. They are most visible when the screen is displaying light, solid colors such as light grays, light greens, light blues - VERY irritating when watching outdoor sports such as football, baseball and golf, with the lines being quite noticeable on shots of the sky and the grass. I had a guy come out and take a look at it and he says I'm actually seeing the fluorescent lamps in the panel and that he's seen it before, but I find that to be pretty difficult to believe - that would simply be poor design, and everyone would be complaining about it if that were the case. Could it be EMI or RFI? I've disconnected everything from the TV, and tried different inputs and cables and I get the same thing every time. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance..
you have a bad display, return it if it is new.
emi/rfi will not cause vert lines, the lines are an error in the matrix.
