Trying to connect iPod to TV, so I can watch movies?
I have a radioshack A/V cable. This one: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2994604
The 'video' chords that plug into the DVD player are green, red, and white. The DVD slot colors (where the chords plug in) are red, white, and yellow. The colors don't match, but I got 2 of them to work with the audio. When I plug the VIDEO DISPLAY chord into the DVD player, the picture comes up, but it is split in half and only in black and white. My 'video settings' on my iPod don't change this.
Any reason why the color is only in black and white and the screen is split up?
You got a Component iPod A/V Cable. It can display the video in HD.
The Red/White on the one side of the wire is audio. The Green/Blue/Red wires on the other side of the wire are for HD video. Your DVD player MUSE have those ports on the back or else its useless. There is no normal "Yellow" video wire on a HD A/V Cable. Yellow = Standard Definition, Blue/Red/Green = HD.
Hope that Helps!
