I am sure the potential was visible to Ike because of LBJ being on the ticket. But I am sure he never believed that people of the low character of Carter, Clinton or Obama would ever be able to become president and damage the nation as they have over the last 40 years or so, Even knowing what a criminal LBJ was I do not think he would ever have agreed to the social and economic crimes imposed on the nation by the low ethics Rockefeller democrats from Carter on that have brought the current situation to be.
