Is the LaCrosse WS-450B weather station worth buying?
I was thinking about purchasing the LaCrosse WS-450B weather station and had a few questions. Is this weather station pretty accurate? Can the sensor be put outside and get wet and is it easy to mount? Where would you recommend mounting the sensor?
I had a LaCross weather station, the same model to and I had it for a few month when the whole thing collapse because of the strong winds that occupied my part of the world. My whole aneometre (Wind) and thermo sensor smashed through a fence and shattered to bits. There not strong mate, and don't buy one, because they can't sustain 160 km/h winds. But a few months ago I bought a Maxkon, now that's a good weather station to buy. The LaCrosse also freezes if temperatures are high above 40C (104F). So I advise that you should not buy LaCrosse because it might happen to you what happened to me, and I don't want that. So I brought Maxkon and it's fantastic, it's touch screen and the outside aneometre can sustain 170 km/h and right now winds are blowing at 130 km/h and it's stable.
I recommend Maxkon and there only $129 and they're way better than LaCrosse. Good luck and make your choice.
